The Virtues of In-Town Living
All over the country, we are seeing demand grow for in-town living opportunities. It's not just the younger generations, either. Baby boomers see the virtues of in-town living, as well. Some of the advantages include:
- Reduction in time spent in the car, which lessens air pollution
- Promotes personal health because people tend to walk and excercise more
- Convenience - you can walk to banks, shops and restaurants
- It's less costly to provide services to in-town residents, which benefits the community
- Lots to do!
One of the "greenest" things you can do is recycle an older home in-town. By renovating an already existing structure, you are extending the life of the home and preserving a piece of your town's history.
